3 Valuable Lessons – Women United
Happy Summer! A couple of weeks ago, I promised to share with you some more of the summer fun activities going on. Well, this one was rather special because the idea is going to be for you to take heed and pass a little love along. Ready?
What do I mean by that? Well, last year, I was invited by my friend and business owner to attend a get-together for women. It was quite successful and there were many attendants. I participated fully and even wrote about it here.
This year, my friend did it again. She pulled it off again! Even more than just enjoying the presence and the gifts of the wonderful women in attendance, I learned three lessons I want to share with you:
- Get out there!
You might be somewhat new, you might not be very good at it yet, you might be unsure about what you might have to offer; either way, someone is waiting to use your services. You have something that someone is searching for. Share with others your talents and what you can do because chances are, nobody does You as You do. Take a chance and showcase your abilities no matter what.
- Be true to yourself.
People, all the ladies showing their stuff that night were passionate about what they were doing. Whether showcasing an amazing hand-made miniature house, offering to walk and support you on your financial journey, or providing a line of spa items you can use at home; everything was geared toward improving people’s quality of life. The ladies were passionate about practical purses, law, feeding the hungry, yoga, and improving children’s speech. When talking about their passion, there was no question they were speaking from the heart. They were authentic and there was no need to try to convince anyone to consider their services: it was clear they knew their talents. I don’t know about you, but that’s the type of people I like to deal with, not the ones who are just following trends…
- We are better together.
Ok, so that’s my favorite part! There was NO competition in the room. Period! Each woman was proud of who they are and was happy to share their talent. I felt none of this heavy air where people compete and compare. We were networking and it felt like friends getting together to hang out. We were learning about each other and finding ways to support one another. The ladies present understood that supporting one another was a way to give, but also a sure way to receive blessings as well. I loved it!
So you get it, right? United, we accomplish more. United, we go farther. What will you be doing to be a blessing to others? What gifts can you impart with the world?
C’mon! Let me see the Love in here: Share, Comment, Like (I really would love to know your thoughts on this!)
Sharing the love with you in Faith,
